Professor Chun-Pin Lin is currently the Distinguished Professor at National Taiwan University. He was the first Dean of School of Dentistry, National Taiwan University, as well as the Director of Department of Dentistry, National Taiwan University Hospital. He was the President of the Chinese Taipei Association for Dental Sciences as well as the President of IADR-SEA (International Association for Dental Research-Southeast Asia). He has engaged in teaching, research, and clinical work for over thirty years. He received his M.S. in Biophysical Sciences and Ph.D. in Oral Biology in 1994 from the University of Minnesota; his alma mater presented the “Distinguished International Leadership Award” to him in 2012 and the “Distinguished Chinese Alumni Award” in 2014. In addition to his university and hospital work, Professor Lin is energetic in research relating to endodontics, hard tissue and biomineralization research, oral biomaterials, and nanotechnology. The largely research results have been published in S.C.I. journals. He has been involved in education, research, and clinical work for nearly 40 years and has conducted extensive research in endodontics, hard tissue, biomineralization, oral biomaterials, and nanotechnology. His research focuses on oral biomaterials and nanotechnology, crossing different fields such as dentistry, cell biology, engineering, materials science, physical chemistry, nanotechnology. Over 150 SCI papers have been published during 2000~2020, including A.C.S. Nano (5IF=14.588), Biomaterials (5IF=10.317), Chemistry of Materials (5IF=9.567), Acta Biomaterialia (5IF=7.242), Journal of Clinical Periodontology (5IF=5.241), Stem Cell Research & Therapy (5IF=5.116), Journal of Dental Research (5IF=4.914), Dental Materials (5IF=4.49), etc. Professor Lin Chun-Pin is the inaugurator of the Journal of Dental Sciences (2006) and has been serving as Editor-in-Chief of this international journal for more than ten years, which is indexed in S.C.I., Scopus, and EMCare. He has been honored to grant awards domestically and internationally, including the 10th Ching-Shin Medical Award (1999), NTUH Outstanding Achievement of Medical Teaching (2000), NTUH Outstanding Research Award (2008), M.N. Wang Outstanding Achievement of Medicine (2009), Y. Z. Hsu Scientific Chair Professor Award in 2010, Gold Award in Dental Education (2012), Distinguished International Leader-ship Award of Minnesota University (2012), Lifetime Contribution Award of Academy of Endodontology (2013), Distinguished Chinese Alumni Award of Minnesota University in 2014, Outstanding Research Award of Taiwan Dental Association (2015), Outstanding Research Award, Ministry Science and Technology, R.O.C. (2010 & 2016), Distinguished Professor at National Taiwan University (2013, 2016, and 2019), etc. Professor Lin has been invited many times as the editor, editorial board for international journals, and many international scientific positions.
